Power to the People: Pluto in Aquarius (2023-2044) – 2023 March forecast Part 3/3

I kept the most powerful event for the final part of my March forecast trilogy: Pluto enters Aquarius on  23rd March for the first time since 1778. Yes, you see it right, it takes around 246 years for Pluto to move through the zodiac, which means that on average it changes signs only every 20 years. Pluto’s shift into a new sign always happens intermittently as it often touches a certain degree 5 times due to his regular retrograde motion (perceived retrograde motion from our point of view on Earth).

Pluto will be in Aquarius from 2023 to 2044, but it will spend only 11 weeks in this sign THIS YEAR which should give us a hint on what’s to come till 2044.

Below are the exact dates of the Pluto in Aquarius period:

  • 23 March 2023 – 11 June 2023: dips its toes into Aquarius for 11 weeks
  • 11 June 2023 – 21 January 2024: moves back to Capricorn
  • 21 January 2024 – 2 September 2024: second, longer visit to Aquarius for 7.5 months
  • 2 September 2024 – 19 November 2024: last short visit to Capricorn to say goodbye
  • 19 November 2024 – 9 March 2043: main stay in Aquarius for more than 18 years
  • 9 March 2043 – 31 August 2043: dips its toes into Pisces
  • 31 August – 19 January 2044: final visit to Aquarius
  • 19 January 2044: enters Pisces to stay

Pluto – the planet of transformation

Pluto was discovered on 18 February 1930 by astronomer Clyde W. Tombaugh in Arizona. It got demoted to dwarf planet or actually the International Astronomical Union (IAU) formally redefined the term ’planet’ to exclude dwarf planets as Pluto. In astrology it is considered as the 10th planet, the most distant planet in the solar system. Pluto is a powerful outer planet that represents transformation, power, and regeneration. Nature’s best example for the Plutonian process and energy is the metamorphosis of a caterpillar into a butterfly. It shows that something has to die in order to create or give birth to something fundamentally different, something better.

How Pluto works is that first it exposes the shadow side of the sign it is in (a certain area of our life) creating a crisis, which shortly becomes unbearable. This is when we hit rock bottom and we doubt we can survive, but also when we are forced to persevere and to rise from our ashes like a phoenix. When we come out on the other side of this tunnel, we realize that all the pain, suffering and grief was inevitable for finding our true selves and our purpose.

Most people are afraid of the merciless power of Pluto. This usually happens when they are stuck in the first phase of the plutonian transformation process: denial. When we refuse to notice the rotten smell coming from the trashbin and carry on with our everyday activities. At a certain point, the smell becomes unbearable, so we have to accept that we need to do something. So we decide to take out the trash and maybe even wash the bin itself. That is Acceptance. It is absolutely critical to reach this point. It brings a profound change in your life for the better. The earlier you decide to work WITH Pluto, the better off you will be. If you start letting go of toxic friends, meaningless jobs, self-sabotaging habits and become more courageous in your choices, Pluto will pay you back many times over with new opportunities and with a more authentic life.

Meaning of Pluto in Aquarius

In Mundane Astrology (concerned with worldly events and global trends) the following notions are connected to the sign of Aquarius: community, society, democracy, economy, science, technology, internet, social media, innovation, energy, electricity, aviation, outer space, artificial intelligence, space travel, extraterrestrial topics. So during the Pluto in Aquarius period, we will see the transformation of some of these topics. What we as humanity have as an idea(l) on these topics currently, will get seriously questioned and challenged.  Most likely we will experience crisis which will require a solution on a different level.

Plenty of articles are published recently on what this 20-year transit might bring on a larger scale. Some examples:

  • Further ecomonic crisis, the end of cash as form of payment
  • The rise of Artificial Intelligence and associated risks, new legislations around it
  • Tranformation of democracy, possibility of anarchy, revolution, a new society based on equality
  • Breakthroughs in science and technology, free energy, universal income for everyone
  • Transformation of air travel to eliminate air pollution, new propulsion technology
  • UFO disclosures, new understanding of the universe and extraterrestrial life

These are very important topics that form the very basis of our life, so any „transformational” event, or „crisis” might look very scary. But there is no need to be scared. Whilst this transit may be intense and disruptive at times, it also holds the potential for profound growth and evolution on both a personal and collective level.

So, why the title „Power to the People”? Because we, the people have the power. We have the power to challenge the status quo and to seek out new and innovative ways of living and working. It is in our power to make courageous decisions and take control over those aspects of our lives where we have an influence. We have the power to accept what we can’t change, but fight for what we can and what is worth changing.

This transit will bring more obvious personal transformation to those who have important chart factors (Sun, Moon, Ascendant) in Aquarius or in other fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio). I personally have my Moon and my Ascendant in the sign of Aquarius so I’m excited to work together with Pluto’s energy to transform myself into a better version of me. I rather chose to do so than being forced into change.

Happy New Year! Sun in Aries and the Spring Equinox – 2023 March forecast Part 2/3

Every year, around 20-21st March we celebrate the Spring Equinox as the first day of spring in the Northern Hemisphere. The Spring and Autumn Equinox (around 22nd September) marks the time when day and night are of approximately equal length. The Spring Equinox occurs when the Sun moves into the very first of the 12 zodiac signs: Aries. Astrologically speaking, it is an important time of year as it signals the beginning of a new astrological year.

Astrologers often cast a chart for this moment when the Sun reaches 0° 00’ of Aries to use it as a basis for the year ahead forecast. I’m not going to focus on that now as I see little relevance for our individual lives. I rather describe the general energies of the Spring Equinox and Aries.

When Sun enters Aries, the first sign of the zodiac, it always brings a sense of new beginning and a fresh start. This can be a time to reflect on the past year (March 2022 – March 2023) and set intentions for the year ahead. We can take inventory of what we achieved, what we have learned and what we need to let go. Aries is a cardinal fire sign, and its energy is associated with initiative, action, and boldness. As a result, this time of year is often seen as a time to take action and pursue new goals.

A few hours after the Sun enters Aries, the Moon does the same, marking the first lunation of this Astrological new year: a New Moon at 0° 49’ Aries. As every New Moon represents the beginning of the new lunar cycle, the fact that it happens almost simultaneously to the Equinox, it makes it an even more powerful time for new beginnings. It is a time to let go of what no longer serves us and embrace new opportunities and possibilities.

Whether you are looking to start a new project, pursue a new goal, or simply embrace a new way of being, the Spring Equinox can provide the energy and inspiration you need to move forward with confidence and clarity.

Happy Birthday, Aries!

As mentioned already, Aries is a cardinal fire sign AND the first sign of the zodiac, so it is important for Aries, to be FIRST! Very competitive, courageous risk taker Aries is often a pioneer, a trend setter who wants to break new ground for others to follow. Due to their cardinality, they are excellent in starting new things, to take on challenges that others shy away from. On the other hand, their energy is rather a short powerful outburst than a long-lasting, sustainable energy outflow. They are much better in starting something than maintaining or adjusting it. They are often impulsive and act without thinking things through which can lead to both successes and setbacks, depending on the situation.

From a professional point of view, people with strong Aries energies prefer to be their own boss, so often they choose to create their own company. Any highly risky profession, like soldier, policeman, fire fighter, surgeon, racing driver are also attractive options for this risk seeker and confident sign. They often prefer working alone than in team as they tend to put themselves first without apology. They are natural leaders who are not afraid to take risks and pursue their goals with passion and determination.

When it comes to dating and relationships, Aries likes the newness of first meeting someone. They can get excited, passionate and a “force of nature” who can sweep you off your feet. They are also very spontaneous, adventurous, and fun. However, Aries may get bored very quickly when the newness and excitement of the encounter starts to wear off.  Aries is a very independent sign, and people born under this sign often value their freedom and autonomy.

Wherever Aries is in your chart, you are competitive and self-motivated and willing to take a risk to blaze your own trail.

BIG changes coming: Saturn in Pisces – 2023 March forecast Part 1/3

Normally I don’t write monthly forecasts, but now I have to make an exception. March is by far the most exciting and most significant month of 2023 from an astrological point of view. There is so much happening, that I had hard time figuring out how to organize my thoughts as it cannot fit into one article. I see 3 big events coming up, which all deserve a separate post, hence I decided to write a trilogy. This first part will mainly describe Saturn’s ingress into Pisces, the second will look into the Spring Equinox (the Astrological New Year) and in the final part I will collect my thoughts on Pluto’s shift into Aquarius.

The month of March always has a promise of a New Start, probably because in the Northern Hemisphere it is the time when we say goodbye to Winter and welcome Spring. It is not different this year either, but on top of the Spring Equinox, we have other, very rare events which bring the promise of a Big Change, the beginning of a new era.

On March 7, 2023 Saturn, the planet of time and boundaries moves into the sign of Pisces and will remain there until February 14, 2026. Let’s not forget that Neptune (the modern ruler of Pisces with similar archetype) is already in Pisces, so there is a double Pisces effect on Saturn. The two planets will co-exist in Pisces till 2026 and in Aries till 2028.

After spending 6 comfortable years in its ’home’ signs of Capricorn (2017-2020) and Aquarius (2020-2023), Saturn is now moving into the ’enemy territory’ of Pisces. The archetypes of Saturn and Pisces are basically polar opposites which are difficult to reconcile. Saturn symbolizes rigidity, control, structure and limitations, Pisces is all about emotions, dreams, fluidity, boundlessness and transcendence.

So what themes will this period highlight?

Disillusionment on a grand scale

Old structures and rules are often being questioned during Saturn in Pisces period. We can expect further economical, political and social challenges as the very concept of their operation will crumble and it will take some time till we see how a potential new era could look like.

The illusion of constant or even endless economic growth which is the base of the „Western culture” will be destroyed by the increasing scarcity of natural resources (especially water, gas and oil). This could go to a level where severe restrictions will be applied in the consumption of these commodities, impacting the general comfort of our everyday life.

We will be also asked to be more aware of the connectedness of all life, to nature and to the universe. We need to reconsider our understanding on our boundaries and responsibility as humans, as the human race.

Dissolution of boundaries

As we are in times of big shifts and changes, the reference points of our lives become elusive and we might start to feel that our concept of reality becomes slippery. The trend of organized dezinformation and „fake news” will continue so finding a solid foundation, an objective starting point will be difficult. This can bring a lot of anxiety, insecurity and increasing fear of chaos and of losing control in different areas of our life.

The archetypes of Saturn (rules, restrictions, control) and Neptune (water, ocean, fluidity) will be bound together in the coming 5 years, so we can expect changes in hydropolitics, increased amount of water related issues (draughts and floods), but also conflicts over international territorial waters.

Religion in crisis

Saturn in Pisces is strongly related to Christianity through the theme of sacrifice and self-discipline. Saturn is the planet of structure and responsibility, and its transit into Pisces can bring a heightened sense of responsibility in one’s personal and spiritual life. This may align with the Christian teachings of self-control and the importance of living a life dedicated to serving others.

We might see some restructuring within the Christian church or some significant changes in its rules and organizational principles. It would not be surprising to experience a notable decline in its popularity and a decline of active religious practitioners.

Increased importance of communities and service

The transit may bring a greater focus on the role of community and its power to successfully address social and environmental issues. People might feel more encouraged to come together and work towards common goals and form local communities united under a shared purpose.

“It takes a village to raise a child” might be a phrase and idea that we will see re-occurring in the coming 3 to 5 years.

Service is another common theme of Saturn in Pisces although from different motivation: Saturn is willing to be at service out of its strong sense of responsibility, while Pisces does that driven by compassion and willingness to sacrifice personal objectives.

Spiritual discipline and creative coping

A potential personal response to the increasing uncertainty and confusion in the outside world is to turn inwards and do inner soul work. This is an excellent time to transcend our limitations and find inner peace by letting go of the past, our unrealistic expectations and find our own faith in life.

Coping through creative self-expression is also a healthy response to turbulent times, but we can also commit to some serious spiritual study or set up a yoga or meditation routine.

In summary, Saturn moving into the sign of Pisces marks a period of growth and transformation, both on an individual and collective level. This transit brings a focus on spirituality, emotions, creativity, and responsibility, and may encourage individuals and societies to address important issues and work towards meaningful change.

On a personal level it can bring disillusionment and a sense of being lost. Not seeing the boundaries between reality and imagination, between truth and lie, an urge to escape from the materialistic world might be common themes of these times.

It is more important now than ever to take care of our mental well-being, to disconnect from things and people which don’t serve us and to maintain good boundaries. Focus on our inner world, develop our own personal faith, find a cause worth to be committed to without losing yourself, are all possible constructive responses to the current quality of time.

Who will feel this transit the most?

If you have your Sun, Moon, or your Ascendant in Pisces, you will most likely feel this transit on a very personal level.

Those who has their natal Saturn in Pisces will experience their first or second Saturn return (around the age of 29 and 58) which will bring maturity and closure in a certain area of their life. If you have been born during the below periods, this concerns you:

Mar 23 – Sep 16, 1964

Dec 16, 1964 – Mar 3, 1967

May 21 – Jun 30, 1993

Jan 28, 1994 – Apr 7, 1996

Happy Returns, Pisces!

On the 18th of February the Sun shifts from independent, rational Aquarius into spiritual and sensitive Pisces for 30 days. We are moving to the final month of Winter, enjoying rising temperatures and increasing amounts of sunlight.

Pisces, as the last sign of the zodiac, represents the freedom from material limitations and the invisible connection to the universal One-ness. It is a mutable water sign or even a better description it is a watercolor sign. It is so fluid and changeable, that it gets easily “contaminated” by other signs, just like the colors bleeding into each other in a watercolor painting. It is very difficult to isolate a pure Piscean quality in the chart, or even sense it as a dominating energy. This elusive quality of the sign is also symbolized by its ruling planet Neptune, the planet of imagination and transcendence.

The life purpose of Pisces is to offer empathy, compassion to others and service to a higher cause. They have the highest capacity to understand, accept, embrace, and help absolutely anyone as they see no boundaries between people. Pisces have no assumption of superiority over the poor, uneducated, mentally ill or criminals.

Those with significant Piscean energy are often sensitive, receptive, imaginative, and artistic. We often can find Solar Pisceans in branches of art like drawing, painting, photography, music, literature, and film. Their weak sense of self (weakest in the zodiac) makes them great actors/actresses as they can easily put themselves into any character’s skin and play an authentic role.

Pisces are dreaming of being able to save the world, even if it comes with the sacrifice of their personal desires. To be able to offer this compassion and devotion to others, they often develop a strong need for retreat and sometimes to escape to recharge their batteries.

If Pisces cannot find their spiritual path in life, they can become sour, critical, destructive and can fall into the state of self-pity and martyrdom. If they trust the wrong people or their helpfulness is abused, they tend to identify with the victim and they might step onto destructive ways of escapism like alcohol or drug use/abuse.

In relationships, Pisces tend to be very giving, romantic, idealistic and they are very tuned into their partner’s mood. They can be so immersed into the relationship that they don’t see no clear designation between where their feelings end and their partner’s begin. This lack of emotional boundaries might result in unhealthy codependent relationships and unrealistic expectations.

Pisces season is a time for introspection, self-discovery and for spiritual practices such as meditation and yoga. We might feel strong creative inspiration or experience unusually vivid dreams. Feelings of uncertainty and confusion in relationships, difficulty to make decisions might be further characteristics of this period.

On 7th of March also Saturn, the planet of boundaries and maturity will enter Pisces and stay there till 2026. If you have planets or your Ascendant in Pisces, it will be a very significant period in your life.

Happy Birthday, Aquarius!

On the 20th of January, the Sun moves from serious and responsible Capricorn to independent, idealistic Aquarius. Although both signs are ruled by Saturn, the planet of boundaries and responsibility, they are significantly different. Capricorn knows and respects the rules, while Aquarius tends to rebel against them with the desire to make the world a better place (reflecting the nature of the sign’s modern ruler, Uranus).

Aquarius, as an air sign, is very intelligent, analytical and connects to the world and other people intellectually. It is also a fixed sign, indicating that they can hold steady in their goals and ideals. On the other hand, they in general might find change challenging especially if it does not happen on their own terms.

Aquarians thrive in communities or groups that are held together by a common ideal. They are often drawn to causes that promote equality and justice and are not afraid to speak up for what they believe in. They have an original perspective on social issues hence they are typically the rebels, the protesters, who want to destroy the old, rigid hierarchies, stereotypes, and traditions to create a more ideal future. This is simply a manifestation of their strong sense of social responsibility.

Another defining trait of Aquarians is their strong sense of individuality. Solar Aquarians (born between 20th January and 18th February) have a life-long task to find their own place in a group or in society, whilst they can freely express their unconventional opinion and character. Finding this balance is not easy, hence Aquarians are often seen as outsiders, the „weirdos” of the zodiac. They are the ones who wear shocking outfits, have unmistakable laughter or futuristic ideas no one can follow.

Aquarians have a gift of rational detachment which often leads them to a career in science, technology, and other intellectually stimulating fields. They are natural problem-solvers with a strong sense of curiosity and are always seeking new experiences. They value knowledge greatly and sharing their wisdom with others is their mission. This purpose is depicted by the symbol of this zodiac sign, the Water Bearer, who is pouring out the water of knowledge for the benefit of all humanity. There some risk of developing a sense of intellectual superiority and an “know-it-all’ attitude.

Not surprising that the field of emotions is not really their playground. Strongly Aquarian people often have issues to connect to others on an intimate level. They need so much freedom, that there is no space left for anybody else. Highly emotional people and situations make them feel suffocated and they will go and find the closest exit door right away. While they are very interested in the concept of humanity, society, and groups, they have difficulties to handle individual people and personal connections. This does not mean that they don’t care about their loved ones, moreover once they found a partner who enables them to be themselves, they become very loyal and committed to the relationship.

Any planet in Aquarius in your chart will be expressed with cool detachment and high level of individuality.

A glimpse into 2023

Every year around this time, we start to wonder what the next year will bring? What will happen to me and my loved ones? Will the next year be better or worse? Unfortunately nobody can tell you that. However, the main celestial events of the year can give an indication about the main topics and trends of this period. Always keep in mind that those cannot responsibly provide definitive predictions neither on a global nor on a personal level.

We all see the world around us through our individual coloured glasses (our birth chart), which can lead to very different experiences. In this post I will describe the main astrological events of the next year and their general meaning. In case you would like to know what 2023 has to offer for you, please contact me for a personal consultation.

2023 – the start of big changes

Since 2019 we witnessed some very challenging planetary aspects: Saturn conjunct Pluto between 2019 and 2021 and the Saturn-Uranus square from 2021 till the end of 2022. These aspects manifested in the significant tension we experienced in the last 3 years mainly from a political, social and economical point of view. The good news is that in 2023  (and also in 2024) we get a bit of a break from such aspects, but do not think that it will mean that things go „back to normal” as that does not exist anymore.

We  are moving into a transition period in 2023 which will culminate in 2025. During this 3 year period all the slow moving planets move to their following sign. This is a very big thing as these planets usually spend a lot of time in one sign. Uranus spends 7 years, Neptune 13-14 years, while Pluto can spend between 11 and 32 years in a sign (due to its elliptic orbit) and it takes a year or two for them to settle into their new zodiac sign.

First, Pluto will dip its toes into Aquarius in 2023 for 2.5 months and starting November 2024, it will stay there for 20 years. Then, Neptune will visit Aries between March and October 2025 and finally Uranus will pop into Gemini for 3 months in 2025. By 2026, all these generational planets will complete their transition. These shifts signify monumental changes and indicate new generational trends and topics. The last time when we had these 3 planets changing signs within a short period of time was between 2008/9 and 2011.

March 23rd – Pluto enters Aquarius (2023 – 2044)

Pluto’s shift from Capricorn into Aquarius is undoubtedly the most anticipated event of the year. Pluto is the slowest moving planet in the Solar System and it changes signs only in every 20 years on average. It represents an extreme transformational energy, it is the planet of death and rebirth, hence it destroys everything it touches in order to give us the opportunity to build something better on the old ruins. This year it will pop into Aquarius only for a short period, from March till June, so pay attention to the news during this time. We will see some new topics emerging in the global media in these 3 months which will give us an indication of Pluto’s focus areas for the coming 20 years. We can expect that during this period we will see a transformation on how we look at and use the internet, the social networks and Artificial Intelligence. On a personal level, you will need to transform the particlular area of your life that falls into Aquarius in your birth chart. If you feel that there is a certain aspect of your life where you often swept problems and challenges under the rug, well, most likely you found the topic you will be forced to deal with.

March 7th – Saturn enters Pisces (2023-2026)

The other major event of the year is Saturn’s move from Aquarius to Pisces in March. Saturn is the planet of boundaries and during its journey through Aquarius, we experienced our freedom being significantly restricted and we were asked to behave socially responsible. Moving into Pisces, we might wittness crisis to occur in the area of religion, pharmaceuticals and art. On a personal level, we can expect to be asked to strengthten our inner faith, to develop our very own belief system which help us staying grounded even in the midst of crisis. Certain firm beliefs in our life (depending on where Pisces falls in your birth chart) might come to their natural end.

May 16th – Jupiter enters Taurus

Jupiter, which spends 12 months in the same sign, will also move in 2023, from Aries to Taurus. Until May we might feel a lot of energy to start new things, to explore. As of May, with Jupiter in Taurus, we will have the chance to create a strong foundation to our ideas and to build something tangible. This period can bring some opportunities from a financial point of view or in that aspect of your life that is ruled by Taurus in your birth chart.

July 23rd – Venus retrograde

Venus goes retrograde every 18 months for 40 days, next time in July 2023. It will station on 28° Leo moves back to 12° Leo by the 4th of September. Venus retrograde is all about relationships: some old, unsolved issues might pop up or we get the chance to bring closure to certain contacts in our life. As it happens in Leo (and squares Uranus in Taurus) it might bring up some spontaniously exploding conflicts between our needs for freedom and connection.

Venus was retrograde at the same part of the zodiac some 8 years ago, so if there have been some major events in your private life in July – August 2015, you might see some of those old themes or even people re-occurring in your life.

July 17 – Lunar nodes shift to Aries and Libra

We will have two eclipse seasons in 2023 (with one Lunar and one Solar eclipse), just like every year. As the lunar nodes are moving from the Taurus-Scorpio axis to the Aries-Libra axis, they will bring a new theme: the self vs the other or me vs you. During the 4 eclipses of the year, we will be invited to revisit who we are as individuals and what relationships mean to us.

  • April 20th – Solar Eclipse at 29° Aries
  • May 5th – Lunar Eclipse at 14° Scorpio
  • October 14th – Solar Eclipse at 21° Libra
  • October 28th – Lunar Eclipse at 5° Taurus

In Summary, 2023 will be a rather intense year starting from mid-January, when Mars and Mercury go direct. March will be the most important month as both Saturn and Pluto changes signs and give us clue about the trends of the upcoming years. In the second half of the year our own identity and relationships will come into focus with Venus retrograde during the summer and the Eclipses in the Venus-ruled signs in October.

No need to fear these changes as they are opportunities to adjust the course of our life if we need to. We are not helpless bystanders of these cosmic events, but we have the opportunity – and probably the responsibility – to take matters into our own hands.

Personally, I’m very much looking forward to 2023 as this will be the first complete year in this website’s life. After writing the first few articles, I’m very excited to continue this journey!

Wishing you a wonderful 2023!

Capricorn season is here – Happy Winter Solstice!

On the 21st December the Sun left the optimistic, fun loving Sagittarius and stepped into serious and ambitious Capricorn. This also marks the day of the Summer Solstice on the Southern Hemisphere and the Winter Solstice here, in the Northern Hemisphere. This is the shortest day of the year, but the good news is that from now onwards we get more and more sunlight every day.

All cardinal signs have tremendous energy to kick off projects or to get into action, but Capricorn, as an Earth sign also has the determination to follow through till tangible results are achieved.

Capricorn’s ruling planet is Saturn which is associated with authority, maturity, tradition, boundaries, patience and order. So people with planets (especially Sun, Moon or Ascendant) in Capricorn are usually serious, responsible and hard-working and prefer to fit into a hierarchy by following the rules. They have a strategic mindset, they are excellent in defining goals, developing plans and putting all their energy into the realization of that plan. They can endure any kind of difficulties due to high tolerance to deprivation and pain, so nothing can come between a Capricorn and its goal. Capricorn people have high chances of significant success in big organizations like governments, multinational companies and academia.

Their seriousness sometimes can become too much as it is carried over from professional life to all aspects of their life. They can become obsessive with regards to a goal or a status they want to achieve and develop a ruthless determination. Their path to the top can be a very lonely one as they can lose sight of people around them in the process. People with strong Capricorn energy might have issues with recognizing, moreover expressing, their own (or others’) feelings, therefore they can come across as cold and calcuating. The best way to get into the heart of a Capricorn is to earn his respect.

Capricorn needs to learn not to take everything so seriously and to rest and have fun sometimes. They also need to learn to connect to their emotions or at least recognize them. If they try to banish emotions from their life, they often attract external events or situations where they are forced to deal with (someone else’s) emotions.

This is an excellent time for all of us to bring some Capricornian energy into our life: to look back at our last year and appreciate how far we got and to set up ambitious but realistic goals and plans for the next year. First time in a long time I also plan to do that with the help of www.yearcompass.com where you can download a booklet on your chosen language that helps your self-reflection. Enjoy!

In case you would like to know what energies will be present for you next year, you can book a reading with me, where we will go through the most important dynamics impacting your personal birth chart!

Happy Returns, Sagittarius!

On the 22nd of November, just after 9am (CET) the Sun moves from deep and intense Scorpio into optimistic, curious and freedom-loving Sagittarius. The Sun’s movement from the fixed Water sign to a mutable Fire sign also indicates the transition period from Autumn to Winter. We say goodbye to the colorful leaves and soon welcome the first snow of the season.

Sagittarius is adventurous, open-minded and loves to discover new places both physically (travelling) and mentally (studying). The Archer is not interested in digging into the facts, they want to explore the possibilities beyond the facts. They are on a quest to find answers to the big questions in life: what is the meaning of life? Where are we coming from? What happens after death? Is there a God?

Once they think they have found the answer or at least getting closer to it, they are willing to share that with everyone with great enthusiasm. They have the distinct ability to transfuse their zest and excitement into others, therefore they make great teachers. At the same time, born with a voracious appetite for knowledge, they are the true representers of lifelong learning.

Sagittarius is said to be the luckiest sign as its ruling planet, Jupiter, is the planet of good luck and abundance. While it sounds great, it also represents the biggest trap for this sign. They might count on their luck too much and ignore risks and become careless or even lazy. Sagittarians like to think big and aim high which also brings the risk of overpromising and underdelivering. Their honesty can appear to others as bluntness or even rudeness. The Sagittarian optimism can turn into deep depression in case of loss of meaning or when their highly aimed arrow hits below target.

I must admit, I might have an innate bias towards this sign as both myself and my husband have our Sun (and plenty of other planets) in Sagittarius. I celebrate and enjoy the general optimism and curiosity it brings while consciously trying to avoid the potential pitfalls: starting too many things, but not finishing any, overloading the brain, developing unrealistic expectations…

You see, none of the signs are good or bad, they all have different virtues and flaws. A birth chart reading can help you understand how you can best utilize the different planetary placements in your personal chart to your advantage. Transformational energies – the last eclipse of 2022

As mentioned in my earlier post, the 2022 eclipse season is ending. On the 8th of November around noon time (in Central European Time) we can witness a total lunar eclipse. Oh wait…those can witness it who are NOT in Europe (except of the very north) or Africa as from here the eclipse won’t be visible as it is daytime for us. Anyway…trust me…it is happening, and it will be a powerful one!

A lunar eclipse happens when there is a full moon close to the nodes (topic for a future post). This time it is not only the Sun and Moon facing each other, but Venus and Mercury also join the Sun in Scorpio looking at Moon and Uranus in Taurus. These two gangs are supervised by Saturn in Aquarius, forming a 90-degree aspect to both groups, creating a triangle of tension.

This event shines light on the necessity of drastic change in our value system and our extremely materialistic approach to life. We need to create a more sustainable, nature-friendly way of living instead of the current toxic, money-driven life.

This obviously won’t happen on the 8th of November, but this is one important point in the process as this eclipse occurs at the end of a 2-year long struggle between the Uranian urge for renewal and the Saturnian resistance to change. This period was and is about controlled transformation of old hierarchical structures, letting go of old thinking patterns, values systems which hinder our future development. If feels like the end of an era: the most symbolic example of that is the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. The death of her iconic figure marks not only an end of a lifelong service, but it feels like we need to say goodbye also to what she represented.

In the past two years it has become increasingly difficult to tolerate rules and limitations: just think about the COVID restrictions and the wide scale of reactions to that. The trust and acceptance of old structures (governments, authority figures, regulations) are on an all-time low level while there is a rapidly increasing need to express our individuality and our right to (all kinds of) freedom. If we – personally and collectively – cannot find the subtle balance between convention and innovation, we will continue to see sudden and unexpected twists that force us to do something different, to free ourselves from old habits and values.

This eclipse will spark again the fire between the old and the new, the known and the unknown, the certain and the uncertain. It is likely that significant, collective developments can be observed during this time in matters where the outcome was uncertain so far. Now it will be decided in favor of one side or the other.

The next eclipse will happen in April 2023, so till then we get a bit of break!

Happy Birthday, Scorpios!

Every year between 23rd October and 22nd November the Sun is moving through the sign of Scorpio. This is the time when those with Sun in Scorpio in their birth chart have their “solar return” aka their birthday.

This year it is at 12:36pm CET on 23rd October when the Sun moved from romantic, peace-loving Libra to passionate, charismatic, and secretive Scorpio. During the Scorpio season, nature undergoes visible transformation. The trees gradually lose their bright, warm autumn colors and turn brown and grey. The outside temperature drops, the air becomes more humid, and darkness expands its dominance further into our days. Autumn is here.

Scorpio is said to be the “darkest” sign and – in my experience – it provokes the most extreme reactions, people either love or hate Scorpio, nothing in between. This very much describes the main characteristic of the sign: all-or-nothing. Scorpio wants to experience life (and death) to the fullest, hoping to understand the deeper meaning of existence. This fix water sign is interested in everything which is under the surface: secrets, taboos, sex and the forbidden. It considers death as one stage of the life cycle and is rather curious than fearful about it. Superficial relationships are not for Scorpios, they want a deep, passionate relationship where there is full trust and intimacy. They possess powerful emotions but hidden beneath a seemingly detached exterior. They have enormous resilience, willpower, and the strongest survival instincts of the zodiac.

Scorpios can be excellent psychologists, researchers, engineers, private investigators, archeologists, or politicians, any job which requires them to dig deep.

At worst, their passion can turn into obsession, their need for intimacy can turn into perversion, their hunger for power and control can transform them into manipulative dictators. There are many ways to manifest the negative side of Scorpio… just like with any other sign in the zodiac. They are not good or bad, but there are constructive and destructive ways of living their specific energy in our chart. We all have all the 12 signs present in our charts, so they are part of us. Wherever you have Scorpio in your chart, the keyword is self-control and self-mastery, you need to gain wisdom to use the sign’s powerful energy in a positive, healthy way.
