Uranus in Gemini (2025-2033): How the next 7 years will change our minds and our world?

Between 2023 and 2026, all three of the outer planets—Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto—shift into new zodiac signs. These planets move slowly, and their transitions signal some of the most powerful long-term changes in astrology. When they change signs, it’s not just a new mood—it’s the beginning of a new era for humanity.

On July 7, 2025, Uranus will be the last of the three to move into its new sign: Gemini. This moment marks the symbolic “completion” of a global shift in energy. While Uranus and Neptune will still briefly revisit their old signs (Taurus and Pisces) before settling in for the long term, April 2026 marks the true end of the transition. From then on, these planetary forces will be fully anchored in their new expressions—for the next 7, 14, and 20 years, respectively.

Uranus: The Planet of Disruption, Freedom, and Innovation

Uranus is a planet associated with sudden change, rebellion, and breakthrough technologies. Symbolically, it represents our ability to break out of the past and innovate—often in surprising or disruptive ways.

Since 2018, Uranus has been in Taurus, an earth sign focused on stability, security, and values. This created a tension: Uranus wants change, but Taurus resists it. As a result, the changes during this period were often slow, deep, and systemic, like seeds planted underground that gradually transformed what we value.

Some real-world themes of this time included:

  • The transformation of economic systems, work culture, and our relationship to the Earth and our bodies
  • The rise of cryptocurrency and decentralized finance
  • Innovation in sustainable agriculture, like vertical farming and plant-based alternatives

Uranus Enters Gemini: The Lightning Bolt Hits the Mind

Now, the energy shifts dramatically. Gemini is an air sign—fast, curious, and ever-changing. While Taurus is about grounding and preserving, Gemini is about motion, connection, and information. Uranus in Gemini will bring disruption to our mental world: how we think, speak, learn, move, and connect.

We can expect sudden changes, innovation, and breakthroughs in the following areas:

1. Communication and Media Revolution
Expect a shake-up in how we exchange information. Think AI-generated dialogue, new social platforms, holographic meetings, and decentralized networks. The speed and form of communication may evolve dramatically.

2. Mobility and Transportation
From self-driving vehicles to delivery drones and intelligent traffic systems, technology will rewire how we move through the world.

3. Education Redefined
The traditional classroom model may fade in relevance. Personalized AI tutors, gamified learning, peer-to-peer knowledge networks, and new subjects (like detecting disinformation) could take center stage.

4. AI as a Cognitive Companion
AI will no longer just be a tool—it will become a co-thinker, helping us process information, generate ideas, and even influence how we understand reality.

5. Breakthroughs in Brain-Tech and Neurology
Gemini rules the nervous system, so we may see advances in brain-computer interfaces, neuroplasticity research, and technologies that blend biology with digital consciousness.

What It Can Mean For You Personally

Uranus in Gemini affects everyone differently, depending on your birth chart. But in general, we may all feel its influence in the way we think, connect, learn, and interact. Some common personal themes:

Possible Benefits:

  • Mental awakening: bursts of insight, unconventional ideas, and accelerated learning
  • Openness to change: intellectual flexibility and a willingness to challenge outdated beliefs
  • Unexpected connections: surprising friendships or communities forming through shared ideas
  • Creative expression: innovation in writing, speaking, or digital creativity

Possible Challenges:

  • Mental overstimulation: feeling scattered, anxious, or burned out by too much information
  • Restlessness and inconsistency: starting many things but struggling to finish them
  • Superficiality: prioritizing speed and novelty over depth and meaning
  • Emotional disconnection: becoming overly analytical and detached from feelings

A Note on AI: It’s Not the Tool—It’s How We Use It

Uranus in Gemini puts AI at the center of this coming era. There’s a lot of fear surrounding it, and for good reason—but the truth is, AI is not inherently dangerous. It’s a mirror.

AI will reflect whatever we teach it:

  • If we feed it with greed, bias, and detachment—it will amplify those qualities.
  • But if we build it with intention, creativity, and compassion—it can become a powerful ally.

The danger isn’t in its intelligence. It’s in the values we embed in it. As we move into this new era, we have a choice: will we use these tools to escape ourselves—or to evolve ourselves?

Final Thoughts: A New Nervous System for Humanity

Uranus in Gemini is like rewiring the collective nervous system. It connects us faster than ever—but also asks us to take responsibility for what we’re wiring into the system.

The coming years could bring unprecedented innovation, but also new forms of disconnection or overwhelm. The key is not to fear the speed of change, but to anchor yourself in clarity, curiosity, and conscious choice.

You don’t have to be an astrologer to feel it—the world is already changing. This is just the beginning of understanding how.

Personal Note

Already before the shift really happens, we might feel this new energy in our life. I thought it could be interesting to share a more personal experience as a potential form of manifestation of this planetary change.

In the last couple of weeks, something unexpected happened: I stumbled upon Human Design.

Though I’ve been studying and working with astrology for about a decade, this system instantly sparked a series of mental a-ha moments—like puzzle pieces clicking into place from a completely different angle. It hasn’t replaced anything I already know; instead, it added a new layer, a parallel lens that reshaped and enriched everything I’ve studied so far.

Looking back, I can’t help but smile: what could be more Uranus in Gemini than this? A brand-new system of thought enters my life, disrupts my long-held frameworks—but not destructively. It’s expanding my perception, not erasing it.

It’s a living example of what this transit invites all of us to do: stay curious, stay open, and be willing to let new ideas shift how we see the world—even if we thought we had it all figured out.

Neptune in Aries: The Courage to Be Authentic

Neptune, the planet of dreams, illusions, and spirituality, is about to make a dramatic shift. For the past 14 years, it has been in Pisces, the last sign of the zodiac and the one it rules—emphasizing intuition, interconnectedness, and dissolving boundaries.

On March 30th, 2025, Neptune moves from dreamy Pisces into Aries, the bold and fiery first sign of the zodiac, starting a new 165-year journey around the Sun.

Aries is about action, individuality, and new beginnings. Where Pisces drifts, Aries charges ahead. This shift marks the end of a period of surrender and the beginning of a time when people feel called to take control of their own destiny. Instead of waiting for things to unfold, there will be a rising desire to act, lead, and redefine reality on one’s own terms.

During the Neptune in Aries period (2025-2039), we’re likely to see a growing emphasis on personal autonomy, grassroots movements, and decentralized ways of thinking and living. But what could that actually look like in every day life?

Moving from collective, passive spiritualism to a more active representation of self-belief

  • People may start actively shaping their own spiritual or philosophical paths, moving away from traditional institutions (e.g. religion, church, political parties, etc).
  • A rising number of individuals taking direct action for their beliefs – whether through activism, entrepreneurship, or lifestyle changes.
  • Understanding that spirituality isn’t just about reflection, but also about courage, action and leadership.

Breaking free from collective illusions

  • Disillusionment in authority, leaders, propaganda, and mass narratives – people wanting to think for themselves rather than follow blindly.
  • Individuals rejecting societal conditioning and redefining their own identities.
  • Stronger focus on personal responsibility, meaning people might feel a greater drive to create their own success rather than relying on institutions.

Decentralization and self-reliance

  • Localism and independent communities: more people opting out of systems and networks they no longer trust, moving toward sufficiency – from homesteading to creating small, independent communities based on shared values.
  • Decentralized economies and technologies: more interest in self-governance and new ways of managing and exchanging resources independently.

Courage to dream differently

  • People may feel inspired to pursue dreams than once seemed impossible, pushing past fear and societal expectations.
  • People no longer waiting for permission to reinvent themselves, their careers, or even they way they live.
  • A rise in bold visionaries, pioneers and innovators who want to create something radically different

When the outer planets (Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) change signs, they always bring an intial sense of confusion, chaos and disorientation. Real clarity and grounded change may not come immediately.

Before a new era begins, the old one must unravel. I believe we are living in that unraveling now. The world as we knew it – our systems, institutions, values or even shared beliefs about reality – seems to be dissolving. Truth and illusion are almost indistinguishable, and the level of division among people and nations has never been greater. It’s unsettling, even frightening. But it is also necessary.

Neptune in Aries ignites bold visions and inspires radical new ideas, but without structure, these ideas risk remaining just dreams. The energy is dynamic and pioneering, yet lacks the grounding needed for real-world impact. The shift from uncertainty to tangible change will likely begin taking shape when Saturn enters Aries on May 25, 2025, bringing the discipline and structure needed to turn your vision into reality.

On a personal level, these times of uncertainty can easily spark anxiety, panic, and fear-based decisions. It’s natural to feel unsettled when the world around us is shifting so dramatically. But while we may not have control over global events, we do have full control over how we respond to them.

If we choose to trust our inner compass—to act from a place of clarity rather than fear—we step into our own sovereignty. This period is not about rushing into battle or forcing change out of desperation, but about listening deeply to our inner voice, aligning with what truly matters, and moving forward with purpose.

Neptune in Aries invites us to embrace courage—not as reckless action, but as the quiet strength to trust the unknown, to stand firm in who we are, and to shape our own path even when the way isn’t fully clear yet.

A year we won’t forget – the astrology of 2025

I believe astrology is not only a powerful tool for cultivating self-reflection and self-awareness, but it also offers profound insights into the archetypal qualities of a certain time period.

In this post, I will outline the key astrological events of 2025 and their broader significance, offering a bird’s-eye view of the trends and energies shaping the year ahead, along with key highlights to watch for.

2023-2026 is a cosmic transition period during which all the slow-moving or outer planets (Uranus, Neptune and Pluto) change signs.

2025 will be the peak of this transformation process as it will be the first time when all outer planets will occupy their new sign. Pluto settled into Aquarius on November 19, 2024, and will stay there for 20 years. Then in 2025, Neptune and Uranus will ingress into their new signs (on March 30 and July 7 respectively). Adding to this profound shift, the lunar nodes change signs on January 12 and Saturn follows suit on May 25. These transitions signify an atmosphere of profound change, marking the beginning of a new chapter both globally and personally.

2025 in stages

The year 2025 unfolds in different stages, each highlighting different astrological energies:

January-March: Preparation and Introspection: The first quarter of the year is a time for reflection and preparation. With the Mars, Venus and Mercury retrograde periods the cosmic energy encourages us to pause before taking action. This period is ideal for recalibrating our goals and avoiding significant decisions or new ventures.

March-July: Acceleration and Emergence: Starting in late March, the pace of change quickens as Neptune moves into Aries and Uranus transitions to Gemini in July. This period is marked by the emergence of new trends, innovative ideas, and transformative events. It’s a dynamic and somewhat chaotic time, pushing us to adapt quickly and embrace fresh perspectives.

August-October: Harmonious Support: In late summer and early autumn, a rare harmonious energy prevails, supporting personal and collective transformation. This is a time when sudden insights or pioneering ideas might surface. It’s also a window for turning realistic dreams into achievable goals, thanks to the advantageous aspects between the outer planets.

November-December: Emotional Growth and Healing: The year concludes with a focus on emotional healing and personal growth. The closing months provide opportunities to process the year’s changes, fostering a deeper sense of inner peace and resilience.

The main astrological events of 2025

Jan till Feb 24 – Mars retrograde

Mars turns retrograde once every two years and lasting approximately 10-11 weeks. As we begin 2025, Mars has been retrograde since December 6, 2024, at 6° Leo. It moves back to 17° Cancer  before turning direct again on February 23. During Mars retrograde, the planet is closest to Earth, appearing especially bright around January 15. This extended stay in Leo and Cancer signifies a period of internalized action and reflection. Mars retrograde slows forward momentum, creating a time for patience and reassessment. Actions and decisions made in the preceding months (September 4 to December 6, 2024) may require revision. It’s best to avoid starting new ventures if possible.

In personal relationships, this period can bring challenges in self-expression. Passive-aggressiveness, overreactions, and defensiveness may surface. Finding a balance between personal needs and those of others is essential. As this retrograde occurs at the start of the year (and begins in late 2024), it provides a natural pause to reflect and realign your goals with your authentic self and emotional needs.

Jan 3 and April 27 – Mars opposite Pluto

Mars forms three oppositions to Pluto during its retrograde journey. The first occurred on November 3, 2024, at 29° Capricorn-Cancer. The subsequent oppositions will take place on January 3 and April 27, 2025, at 1° and 3° Leo-Aquarius, respectively.

This aspect is associated with intense energy, power struggles, and potential conflicts. Globally, geopolitical tensions may escalate or new conflicts could arise. On a personal level, suppressed anger may resurface in destructive ways, leading to resistance and obstacles in pursuing your personal will. Self-control and aligning personal desires with a greater purpose are crucial to navigating this energy constructively. This period offers an opportunity for profound growth and transformation, depending on how we channel the intensity.

Individuals born between July 21-27, December 19-24, or with personal planets at 29° Capricorn-3° Aquarius (or 29° Cancer-3° Leo) may feel these effects more acutely.

March 2 – April 12 – Venus retrograde

Shortly after Mars retrograde ends, Venus begins its retrograde phase. This occurs every 18 months and lasts about six weeks. Venus stations retrograde on March 2 at 10° Aries and concludes its retrograde on April 12 at 24° Pisces.

Venus retrograde acts as a cosmic pause button on themes like relationships, love, values, beauty, and finances. It’s a time to avoid major decisions in these areas, including entering new relationships or making significant purchases. During this phase, past relationships or unresolved matters, particularly from about eight years ago, may resurface for reassessment.

This retrograde unfolds in two phases:

  • March 2 – March 27 (Aries): This phase emphasizes independence, courage, and assertiveness in love and finances. It’s a time to reevaluate how you take action in these areas.
  • March 27 – April 12 (Pisces): The energy shifts to compassion, emotional depth, and releasing unrealistic expectations. This period invites introspection and a more spiritual approach to relationships and values.

Together, the Mars and Venus retrogrades offer an extended period of reflection, urging us to reassess our goals, relationships, and priorities with patience and self-awareness.

March 30 – Neptune enters Aries

Neptune’s ingress into Aries heralds the start of a 14-year cycle where collective dreams and ideals (Neptune) are infused with the bold, action-oriented, and pioneering energy of Aries. This powerful shift brings both opportunities and challenges on a global scale:

  • Disillusionment with False Leaders: The unmasking of leaders and ideals that fail to meet expectations becomes a prominent theme.
  • Increased Spiritual Activism: A rise in movements that merge spirituality with action, inspiring collective efforts toward meaningful change.
  • Focus on Climate Protection and Sustainability: Bold, actionable ideas take center stage, driving significant advances in addressing environmental challenges.
  • Advances in Cybersecurity and Cyber Warfare: Technological innovation intensifies in the realm of digital protection and conflict.
  • Intensified Migration Trends: Climate change, war, and socio-economic disparities drive mass migration. Host countries face the challenge of balancing compassion and integration with cultural preservation.
  • Idealization of War and Heroism: A romanticized view of conflict, aggression, and heroism may emerge, influencing cultural narratives and societal values.
  • Weaponization of Polarization: Ideological divides deepen as beliefs become a focal point for conflict, leading to heightened tensions and ideological clashes.

This period invites us to harness the fiery energy of Aries to pursue collective ideals with courage and innovation while navigating the challenges of polarization and ideological extremism.

May 25 – Saturn enters Aries

On May 25, Saturn will follow Neptune into Aries, marking a significant astrological moment. Both planets will share the early degrees of Aries for several months, coming closest (within 1° orb) during the summer. Although their exact conjunction won’t occur until 2026, the proximity between these two planets will be palpable. The line between fiction and reality may blur, making it increasingly challenging to discern what is real.

Constructively channeling this energy can lead to greater courage and the willingness to take bold steps toward your dreams. Success, however, will require hard work and discipline. This is a time of profound self-discovery, encouraging you to shed outdated self-concepts and embrace a more authentic version of yourself.

Those with personal planets (or Saturn) between 25° Pisces and 2° Aries will feel this transit most intensely.

June 9 – Jupiter enters Cancer

Jupiter transitions into Cancer, its sign of exaltation, bringing a sense of abundance and prosperity, particularly in areas related to home, family, and emotional security. This transit emphasizes nurturing—both self and others—and highlights the importance of creating safe, supportive environments.

Jupiter will form a tense square with Saturn and Neptune in June, making growth and tangible results harder to achieve. However, as the year progresses, Jupiter forms a harmonious trine with these planets in November and December, paving the way for smoother progress and greater ease in achieving goals during the second half of 2025.

July 7 – Uranus enters Gemini

On July 7, Uranus begins its seven-year journey through Gemini, ushering in a period of revolutionary breakthroughs in communication technologies. Upon entering Gemini, Uranus forms a (not yet exact) trine with Pluto in Aquarius, enhancing the potential for groundbreaking innovations. Rapid advancements in artificial intelligence, new media forms, and revolutionary technologies are likely.

Education systems may undergo transformation, with efforts to decentralize or adapt to the growing need for intellectual freedom, flexibility, and innovation. This transit invites us to rethink traditional learning methods and embrace a more adaptive and forward-thinking approach to knowledge-sharing.

March and September – Eclipses

In 2025, we will experience four eclipses, as is typical each year. The March eclipses will conclude the Aries/Libra eclipse cycle that began in April 2023. This signifies a shift away from themes of independence versus partnership (“me vs. you”). With the lunar nodes moving to the Virgo/Pisces axis, the cosmic focus will transition toward a more service-oriented and compassion-driven mindset, a theme that will influence us until early 2027.

Eclipses signify major endings and beginnings, acting as catalysts for change and prompting us to release the past. If you have personal planets or chart points within 3° of the eclipse degrees, you may feel their effects more profoundly.

2025 Eclipses

  • March 14: Full Moon Total Lunar Eclipse at 23° Virgo
  • March 29: New Moon Partial Solar Eclipse at 9° Aries
  • September 7: Full Moon Total Lunar Eclipse at 15° Pisces
  • September 21: New Moon Partial Solar Eclipse at 29° Virgo

The 3 annual Mercury Retrograde periods

  • March 15 – April 7: Retrograde from 9° Aries to 26° Pisces
  • July 18 – August 11: Retrograde from 15° Leo to 4° Leo
  • November 9 – November 29: Retrograde from 6° Sagittarius to 20° Scorpio

During Mercury retrograde, challenges in communication, travel, and technology are common. However, these periods offer excellent opportunities to slow down, reassess, and correct your course. Paying close attention to details can help reduce misunderstandings or miscommunications. These retrogrades encourage introspection and fine-tuning your plans for better outcomes.

In 2025, we will witness a significant shift from the “old” (the final degrees of a sign) to the “new” (the early degrees of a sign). Those with personal planets or angles at the very beginning or very end of a sign are likely to feel this shift most acutely, experiencing a strong urge—or an external push—to embrace brand-new experiences.

The encouraging news is that the second half of the year will be marked by abundant supportive and harmonious planetary energies, providing a boost to help us navigate and make the most of this transformative time.

There is no need to fear these upcoming changes. They present valuable opportunities to realign our lives where needed. We are not passive bystanders to these cosmic events but active participants with the power—and the responsibility—to shape our path forward.

The astrology of 2024 – accelerating transformation

As 2024 is just around the corner, it is time to review the astrology of the year ahead. I don’t really believe in the by sign forecast („If you are a Libra, this is what will happen…”) as our perception on external events can be significantly different even if we share the same Sun/Moon/Ascendant sign. It is highly individual  – described by our natal chart – how we see and respond to the world around us. Hence, I’m making an attempt to translate the main astrological events on a global, more general level.

The bigger picture

As I mentioned in my 2023 post, we entered into a cosmic transition period (2023-2026) during which all the slow-moving planets change signs. 2023 was a rather gentle start with Pluto dipping it’s toes into Aquarius for 2.5 months between March and June. In 2024 this will intensify as Pluto will say goodbye to Capricorn between September 1st and November 19th and settle down in Aquarius for the next 20 years. This is a huge generational event that will bring dramatic changes in our society (more on this here). 2025 will be the peak of this cosmic shift, when both Uranus and Neptune will change signs temporarily and by 2026 all of them will complete their ingress to their new signs, starting a new chapter.

2024 is a special year for several reasons. This is the last year when Uranus is fully in Taurus where it has been since 2018. In Astrology, Uranus symbolizes freedom, technology, rebellion, innovation and total transformation. It is also the planet that forces us – via external events – out of our comfort zone and encourages us towards change for the better. Taurus, the fixed Earth sign is connected with all things grounded, material, solid and it is the zodiac sign most resistant to change. So Uranus in general does not feel great in Taurus. During its 8-year stay in Taurus Uranus could and did rock our foundations in the Taurean areas of our life: our finances, our possessions and even our value-system.

2024 is also the last year when Neptune is fully in Pisces where it has been since 2011. The ruling planet of Pisces is Neptune which means that they have a shared symbolism of dreams, ideals, boundlessness, humanism, but also fear, disillusionment and escapism. The topics Neptune and Pisces symbolize in the mundane world are religion, spirituality, music, art, natural waters (lakes, oceans etc), alcohol, drugs and lack of boundaries. The transit of Neptune in Pisces has led to a boom in spirituality, mystical thinking, astrology, magical practices and psychedelics, as well as mental health problems and addiction. We are also witnessing the virtual reality business and VR-gadgets gaining ground. Personally, we have been experiencing a new challenge in our everyday life: learning to differentiate between what is real and what is „fake” or an illusion.

Since March 2023, Saturn is also in Pisces, and during the whole year of 2024, Saturn will co-exist with Neptune in Pisces. Saturn is all about limits and restriction and it has to meet Neptune’s boundlessness. This means that Saturn can bring some sense of reality and grounding to these Neptunean areas and we have an opportunity to anchor some of our dreams into reality. A watch-out is that Saturn tends to work by applying pressure and forcing us to reckon with reality, so this process sometimes might be rather uncomfortable at the start.

Let’s see what are the main astrological events of the year. You will find a mix of comments in mundane astrology (focusing on the world, on global events) and personal astrology (focusing to our inner experience as human beings).

January 21st – Pluto enters Aquarius

Pluto enters Aquarius for the second time which still won’t be the last time. The transit of the outer planets (Uranus, Neptune, Pluto) from one sign to another is usually a 2-year long dance on the cusp of the sign. Pluto is in the middle of this dance. What a 20-year long transit of Pluto in Aquarius can mean, you can read here. We can expect that the topics that start to blossom during March and June 2023 (e.g. Artificial Intelligence and its risks) will have a second bloom between January and September 2024. This transit can have a more personal impact for those who have important planets in the first two degree of the fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius).

March 25th – April 8th – First Eclipse Season

On March 25th we are entering the first of two eclipse seasons with a penumbral Lunar Eclipse at 5°  Libra opposing the Sun at 5° Aries. Lunar eclipses are about relationships and polarities. Having it on the Libra-Aries axis, it highlights the awareness about what is needed to maintain a relationship (compromising, negotiating, balancing) and our inner drive to compete, assert and dominate. The theme of this Lunar Eclipse is to find balance between meeting our personal needs and attending to the needs of our significant other.

The Lunar eclipse is followed by a Total Solar Eclipse at 19° Aries on the 8th of April. Solar Eclipses symbolize new beginnings. The ruler of this Aries eclipse is Mars that is approaching the exact conjunction with Saturn. This means that we might need to come to terms with a new set of reality in our Aries-ruled area of our life and start a new journey from this new baseline. From a more mundane point of view, we might see some sudden vacuums in leadership or some kind of crisis related to leading authority figures. This eclipse is exactly conjunct with asteroid Chiron, the archetype of the „wounded healer”. This might bring the topic of wounds and healing into the forefront, probably in relation with wounds caused by wars and weapons. This stunning Total Solar Eclipse can be witnessed from Mexico and the Eastern half of the US.

April 10th – Mars conjunct Saturn in Pisces

Just about a day after the Solar Eclipse, Mars will form an exact conjunction with Saturn at 14° Pisces. This transit happens around every 2 years and on a mundane level it can be seen as a start of a new 2-year cycle of challenge. As a reference, the last two Mars-Saturn conjunctions marked the start of the chapter of very particular set of challenges: the one in April 2022 (at 22° Aquarius) marked the start of financial challenges (e.g. inflation) caused by the Russia-Ukraine war and the one in March 2020 (at 0° Aquarius) marked the start of the pandemic with its own unique consequences. So what can it be this time? Difficult to tell, but here are some of my ideas: water related issues (floods, water contamination etc.), crisis of faith, migration, border disputes and even the topic of pandemics (and regulation around their management) might come back.

April 21st – Jupiter conjunct Uranus in Taurus

The most anticipated event for most astrologers is clearly the Jupiter-Uranus conjunction which only happens around every 14 years. Jupiter symbolizes opportunity and expansion while Uranus is associated with technology, rebellion and innovation. On a mundane level it can signify events of significant technological or scientific breakthroughs, or a major social or political progress. It does not mean of course that this will happen on this specific day, but 2-3 weeks before and after we might see some related headlines. Sometimes the event itself might not seem significant at the time of happening, only retrospectively we can understand and appreciate its significance. A great example for this is the last Jupiter-Uranus conjunction in Taurus in 1941. During this transit, in the middle of the WWII, the Brits captured a German submarine, which turned out to be the one carrying the Engima machine. This catch enabled  the Allies to be able to decode the German messages which was a major breakthrough and turning point in WWII.

In our personal lives we might experience rapid, sudden, surprising expansion in understanding. Unexpected epiphanies  or „eureka”-moments might hit us, providing new and profound knowledge and clarity on certain topics. Those with important birth chart factors at 20-24° of Taurus, Leo, Scorpio or Aquarius might feel this transit the most personally.

May 26th – Jupiter enters Gemini

About a month after the conjunction with Uranus in Taurus, Jupiter enters Gemini and stays there for a about a year. Gemini is an air sign associated with thinking, communication and intellect. During this 1 year transit we probably become more mentally adventurous, ready and eager to learn and generally we can become more curious, open-minded and objective than usual. We might become more interested in the „big picture” than in the petty details .

It takes 12 years for Jupiter to complete its journey around the zodiac, so the last time Jupiter was in Gemini was between June 2012 and June 2013. It could be useful to take note of the main themes of our life at that time as they might come around again. Your personal experiences related to this transit will be depending on your birth chart and which area is ruled by Gemini.

General watch-out for intellectual overstimulation, overpromising and even deceit during this period.

August 19th & December 24th – Jupiter square Saturn

After Jupiter enters into Gemini, it will form an exact waxing square to Saturn in Pisces 3 times: August 19th, December 24th 2024, and the last time in June 2025. These two planets signify very different energies: Jupiter is about expansion, joy, hope and optimism, while Saturn is about limitations, obligations and the need for realism and order. With this challenging aspect between these two planets, we are forced to strike a balance between our inner drive for growth and the demands of reality and discipline. During this period we need to work much harder than usual for much smaller results, which can cause a lot of frustration. We might feel an increased need to find balance between optimism and reality, independence and responsibility, risk-taking and caution. These topics will pop up in the area of life where these two planets can be found in your birth chart.

On a mundane level, this waxing square is an important phase in the Jupiter-Saturn synodic cycle, that started with their conjunction at 0° Aquarius in December 2020. Topics and discussions which were starting at that time (e.g. COVID-vaccination and regulations around them) might return as headlines during this period.

September 2nd – November 19th – Pluto in Capricorn

On the 2nd of September Pluto will retrograde back into Capricorn for one last 2.5 months stint before it moves into Aquarius for 20 years on the 19th November. This will be the season finale of Pluto in Capricorn and all the things we’ve seen since its ingress in 2008: market crash in ’08, Bitcoin, Brexit, Trump-ism and the me-too movement for example. We might see a spectacular exposure of corruption, or power-abuse in the traditional institutional systems (government, banking system and other authorities).

Interestingly, the US election will happen during this period, so we might see some shake-ups and destabilizing, dramatic escalation of events in the fall.

Personally, we might experience the last time occurrence of a certain theme which posed a challenge on us since 2008. This can be anything, career, money, relationships, family etc., depending on which part of our chart is ruled by Capricorn.

September 18th – October 2nd – Second Eclipse Season

The second eclipse season will bring enhancement into the volatile energies of Pluto’s season finale in Capricorn.

On September 18th we will see a partial Lunar Eclipse at 25° Pisces opposing the Sun at 25° Virgo. This is a significant eclipse as this is the first one on the Virgo – Pisces axis since 2017 and is the first of an upcoming eclipse set occurring along the Virgo-Pisces axis. As this eclipse will conjunct Neptune in Pisces and square Jupiter in Gemini, the most likely theme of this eclipse will be separating truth from illusion.

On the 2nd October we will witness a Solar Eclipse at 10° Libra, the final eclipse in this sign till 2033. We might feel that we need to stop trying to agree with everyone and to release our people-pleasing tendencies. As this eclipse conjuncts with Mercury, we might feel the need to also communicate what we think in a rather spicy way. This Solar Eclipse will be visible only on the most Southern part of South America.

November 19th – Pluto enters Aquarius for 20 years

On November 19th, Pluto will conclude its stay in Capricorn and ingress into Aquarius, starting his circa 20-year stay there. We might clearly feel that a certain period of our life ended and a new started. You can read more on this transit here.

December 7th – Mars stations Retrograde in Leo

On the 7th of December 2024, Mars, the planet of action, assertiveness and conflict, turns retrograde (as it appears from Earth) at 6° Leo and retrogrades back to Cancer on January 6th 2025. In these last weeks of 2024 we might see some fiery conflict in between world leaders. Internally we might need to re-assess our motivations and strategy. We might temporarily lose our courage and drive, but might feel ready for action again around February 2024. Those, who have important planets in the first 10 degrees of fixed signs, might feel this transit more personally.

Overall, 2024 has all the ingredients to become a landmark year both on a personal and on a global level. In my opinion it will be much more eventful than 2023 was, especially April and November. For sure it will bring a new set of challenges and opportunities personally and globally, but luckily we have astrology that can help us to successfully navigate through these intense times.

No need to fear these upcoming changes as they are opportunities to adjust the course of our life if we need to. We are not helpless bystanders of these cosmic events, but we have the opportunity – and probably the responsibility – to take matters into our own hands.

Wishing you a wonderful 2024!

Libra season and the Autumn Equinox

This is my last of the 12 articles which introduces the different signs as the Sun travels through them during a year.

Every year, around the 22nd of September, the Sun moves from pragmatic and perfectionist Virgo into elegant and charming Libra. This event marks also the Autumn Equinox and the end of the summer in the Northern Hemisphere (and the Spring Equinox and the end of winter in the Southern Hemisphere).

Libra is the only sign in the zodiac that have an inanimate object as symbol, the scales. The lack of the animal (or human) element gives a hint about its strongly civilized nature. Fairness and equality is the main concern of this sign, therefore it is also associated with law and social justice.

Libra is a positive cardinal air sign which means it is ready to take action and initiate new things (cardinality) in order to maintain balance in relationships (air element). Libra is excellent in weighing things up, to understand everybody’s viewpoint and to find a compromise which is acceptable for everyone. Hence Librans are born to be the strategist, the mediator, the peacemaker and the bridge-builder. They hate to upset anyone or engage in conflict, they usually win people over with grace and charm, hence they are perfect for the field of diplomacy and PR.

The planetary ruler of Libra is Venus, the planet of love and beauty. People with strong Libran energy usually have excellent taste and they have the unique talent to effortlessly express beauty, courtesy, elegance, refinement and charm. So it is not surprising that the arts are strongly associated with Libra as you can find plenty of gifted designers, artists, musicians or fashion experts among them.

Being an air sign (need for connection) and having Venus as a ruler, Librans have a very strong need for relationship. They need the motivating presence of a partner in order to bring out the best of themselves. Loneliness and isolation can harm their positive spirit.

Popular belief is that Libra is about love, but it is not really true. Libra is about relationship. Libra’s life purpose is to experience a harmonious relationship that is based on mutuality, reciprocity, unity and compromise. Hence marriage and marital life is usually a focus point for Librans.

As with all signs, Libra’s characteristics can be expressed in a rather negative or destructive ways. The need for relationship and peace might lead them to over-compromise and to cling to unhealthy partnerships where there is an obvious imbalance or power. Their conflict-avoidant nature can drive them to insincerity, although their motivation is usually to keep the peace and make things look good. Indecisiveness is another potential negative trait of Libra, as they want to do right by everyone, consider everybody’s interest and apply utmost fairness, this does not help their ability to decide or make choices.

If you have planets in Libra in your chart, those will express themselves with polite refinement and strong consideration of others.  The Libran area of your chart will the area of your life where you bring elegance, tact and diplomacy and where you can work best in partnership.

Back to work – welcome to Virgo Season!

On the 23rd of August, the Sun moved from fun-loving and extrovert Leo to hard-working and humble Virgo and will stay there till the 22nd of September.

In the Northern Hemisphere this period marks the end of the summer vacation, when children and adults are going back to their duties, to school and work. The symbol of Virgo is the Virgin (or temple virgin in the ancient world), dedicated to the deity. Today it’s best translated as someone who has a strong devotion to practical service. The Virgin is usually depicted holding a sheaf of wheat as she is the one overseeing the harvest and the sorting of the wheat from the chaff.

Virgo is an Earth sign hence likes to be useful and efficient. Virgo does what has to be done without fanfare. She learned the lesson of humility from Leo’s example and works on putting its talents and creative abilities into practical material use. Virgo is also a mutable sign and she uses her adaptability and refining skills to planning and organization.

Virgo shares its planetary ruler, Mercury, with Gemini, so information, data and communication are important for both signs. Gemini gathers information on diverse topics and uses it to make connections with others. Virgo does not only collect information but also analyzes it and his intentions with it are also different: she wants to make something practical and useful out of all the collected data. She has a flair for managing and categorizing information, and presenting it in useable ways, such as databases.

For Virgos, mind and body are linked, therefore regular exercise and healthy eating is important to maintain an effective mind-body balance and to handle stress. They are very good at helping people create structures that help them sustain good habits as well. They are usually also very neat and prefer orderly environment.

Their analytical skills, discriminative capability, dexterity, willingness to work hard and the desire to be of service makes them excellent analysts, researchers, teachers, doctors, nurses, vets, critics, nutritionists, yoga teachers and craftsmen.

They are often cautious with their heart and rather slow to fall in love. Therefore it is often up to the potential partner to take the initiative and start things off. They prefer honesty and openness in relationship and they are devoted and loyal. Virgos show their love and affection through doing acts of service – it comes from their heart and they don’t expect anything in return.

As with all signs, Virgo’s characteristics can also manifest in uneasy ways. They can overthink things which can lead to anxiety. They can become overly critical and judgemental towards themselves and others. Virgos are perfectionists and the world (and people) are rarely perfect, hence they can develop strong discontent in life or a negative fatalistic worldview. It is often difficult for Virgos to have fun, enjoy life,  and just feel happy or at least content.

In the life areas that Virgo is ruling in your chart, you seek to establish order and method and you focus on developing practical skills. You might also lack some natural self-confidence in these areas.

Happy Birthday, Leo!

On the 23rd of July the Sun moved from introvert, sensitive Cancer to extrovert and independent Leo. Leo season is always fun, because this is the middle of the summer (in the Northern Hemisphere) and it’s holiday period when we have a chance to get away from the busy daily life. It is time for travel, to rest, recharge and enjoy ourselves.

While Cancer’s world revolves around the family, Leo separates itself from the familiar ties and develops its own identity. Leo represents a positive, optimistic, confident and forward-looking energy.

Leo is ruled by the Sun and as all the planets of the Solar System are revolving around the Sun, Leo also kind of expects the world revolve around him/her. They love and need attention and admiration, therefore they often take a center stage in their community or become a leader, a figure of authority. At their best, Leos are honorable, honest and loyal while putting a lot of focus on accomplishment.

We can often find strong Leo energies in charts of famous people, politicians, actors, artists, CEOs and designers. There is often an air of authority and a sense of grandeur around them. They will try to avoid getting their hands dirty and rather delegate.

When Leos can successfully use their innocent, spontaneous and courageous nature to realize their personal creative vision, they become the source of warmth, inspiration and hope for the the people around them. Once they achieved success, they can be very generous with others, promoting and supporting them on their journey toward their personal goals.

Leo’s need for attention is often most tangible in their relationships. They want to be the center of their partner’s world and ideally this goes both directions. With their flamboyance and chivalry they can easily make their partner feel special and the center of their universe. They are born romantics who love a bit (or a lot) of flattery and drama.

Leo qualities also have their potential negative side. Confidence can turn into arrogance, independence might be seen as self-centeredness. The strong drive for attention and admiration can lead to narcissistic behavior. As Leos often have an elevated sense of being special, they might join cliques of intellectual snobbery and entitlement.

Wherever Leo is in your chart, the topics of that house are expressed with pride, creativity and with a pinch of drama. You can attract admirers and followers in that area of your life.

Summer solstice and the Cancer season

On the 21st of June we celebrate the longest day of light in the Northern Hemisphere, it is called the Summer solstice. The opposite is happening on the Southern Hemisphere as they celebrate the Winter solstice and start looking forward to longer and longer periods of daylight. So no matter where you are on the planet, this is an important turning point in the year.

The summer solstice also announces the start of the Cancer season, when the Sun moves to Cancer. It is a cardinal sign which means it wants to initiate and shift things. The Cardinal quality also suggests that they can be assertive, but they rarely go straight for the target. They prefer some kind of sideways strategy.  Cancer is also a water sign, so it usually acts on and operates with emotions.

I find Cancer a rather controversial sign as it loves to initiate things but is also very receptive. This zodiac sign is subtle, sensitive and caring, yet canny and tenacious too. It has a vulnerable interior yet can wear a hard shell on the outside – just like its animal symbol.

The ruling planet of Cancer is the Moon, so Cancerians usually react strongly to the Lunar cycle and to the different Moon phases. Their energy level and emotional state can also wax and wane. Moon is the symbol of the mother in astrology, so Cancerians are keen to develop a deep sense of belonging and connections to others or to their roots. Family is very important for them and they are very fierce protectors of their loved ones. Emotional safety is what they are after, hence they are often sentimentally bound to their past, to their home(land). They find it very difficult to let things, people or feelings go.

The emotional nature of Cancer is so dominant, that it often take precedence over rational sense. This can lead to oversensitivity, rapid mood changes and hence at worst, they use moods and emotional manipulation to either preserve situations or to achieve what they want.

If their childhood was less than ideal, sometimes they reinvent their past or completely disconnect from it. They might display the negative characteristics of the opposite sign Capricorn, by being ruthless and inconsiderate to others while fighting to attain rank and position.

At best, Cancerians find genuine pleasure in taking care of their loved ones. Professionally they often choose caring and healing occupations (e.g. cook or nurse). As they are very intuitive and empathetic, they can predict the public mood and emotional climate of those around them.

People with strong Cancer emphasis in their chart are often very drawn to water, to live by the seaside or a lake.

Wherever we have Cancer in our chart, we approach that area of our life in a rather protective and defensive way. This is also the area where we long for safety and stability.

If you are interested to know where Cancer is in your chart and how it might manifest, please consider booking an appointment on my consultation page.

Gemini season is here

Today, on the 21st of May, the Sun moved from steady and reliable Taurus into the sign of social and versatile Gemini where it stays till the 21st June. Gemini is the mutable Air sign, so people with Sun in Gemini are usually intellectual, curious and quick-witted.  They are social butterflies, enjoy being around people, making new friends, and networking. They are often the life of the party and can easily strike up conversations with strangers. This time of the year, we all might feel an increased need to (re-) connect to others, to go out, to meet new people and situations.

All the Air signs (Gemini, Libra, Aquarius) are mentally active signs and they usually approach the world in an intellectual way. As Gemini is the mutable Air sign, it makes it the most versatile and adaptive of all the 12 signs of the zodiac. They can adapt to any environments and situations, and find a common ground with any crowd. It is important for them to have constant mental stimuli, to hear or learn something new as they have insatiable curiosity. The information they gather, the news they hear all are used in their social interactions, to set up a good enough basis for a fluent conversation with anyone.

As people with strong Gemini energy thrive on mental stimulation, they can get easily bored if they are not intellectualy engaged or challenged. They often seek novelty and variety in their lives. It is important for them to find healthy outlets for mental stimulation (e.g. in the form of writing or podcasting), but also to give their mind moments of rest and relaxation.

Symbolized by the Twins, Geminis are known for their dual nature. They can have two sides to their personality, which can make them adaptable but also indecisive at times. They may have multiple interests and can be seen as having contrasting traits.

Geminis usually do better with words and thoughts than with emotions. Talking about emotions is easier for them than feeling. They can be flirtatious and try to gain attention through their good sense of humor, but often they are reluctant to engage with deeper feelings and consequences.

Their restless nature and need for novelty makes it difficult for them to stick with one option (one partner, job, residence etc.) for a longer period. They are very quick to move on to the next interesting thing, hence they are often labelled superficial or unreliable.

The area which is ruled by Gemini in your chart is the one where you apply logic rather than emotions, and where you need continued change and mental stimuli.

Happy Birthday, Taurus!

I’m unfashionably late with this article as the Sun already moved to the sign of Taurus on the 20th of April and will stay there till the 21st of May. Taurus season is the time of the year when the Spring settles in, we say goodbye to the cold winter and the days start to become noticeably longer.

Taurus is the second sign of the zodiac following the impulsive, competitive and impatient first sign of Aries. The bull represents a much slower, pragmatic pace. As the fixed Earth sign, it is reserved, grounded, reliable and steady. It is often their life’s purpose is to build something of lasting value.

Taurus is an earth sign ruled by Venus, so Taurean people usually like both physical and financial comfort. They feel at home in the body and the natural world, they love to be in nature, for example doing gardening or hiking. They very much appreciate the simple sensory pleasures in life, such as delicious food, music and arts. Therefore they often chose professions like cooks, bakers, musicians and visual artists.

Financial comfort is an important goal for Taurus as they need to feel safe and money often gives them that sense of safety and control. They have an excellent eye for picking valuable items and might have a tendency to collect them. They have a strong talent for making and managing money and in general for material accumulation.

When the Taurean energies are running high in one’s chart, it can also manifest in possessiveness and in fixation on money, or in a habit to overindulge in sensory pleasures, overeating, overdrinking.

They are slow to anger and often slow to action as well, hence they can come across as lazy and sluggish. But once they are committed to a course of action, they for sure stick with it even at times when others would already have given up or even when it would be actually beneficial to stop. Stubbornness and dislike of change are well known characteristics of this sign, so if you want a  Taurus to change their mind, you better prepare for a long term mission.

Taurean people also show strong stability from an emotional point of view. They might be rather slow to develop feelings toward someone and even slower to make their first move (if ever), but once they are committed to someone, that bond is there for a very long time. This reliability and persistence make them the rock of their family, friends and community.

Personally, I have family members with Taurus Sun: my mom, who is an excellent cook (and who feeds anyone who enters the household) and my brother who is a very talented artist capturing animals and nature in drawings and paintings.

If you have any planet in your chart in this sign, it will be expressed in a reserved and grounded way.
