Transformational energies – the last eclipse of 2022

As mentioned in my earlier post, the 2022 eclipse season is ending. On the 8th of November around noon time (in Central European Time) we can witness a total lunar eclipse. Oh wait…those can witness it who are NOT in Europe (except of the very north) or Africa as from here the eclipse won’t be visible as it is daytime for us. Anyway…trust me…it is happening, and it will be a powerful one!

A lunar eclipse happens when there is a full moon close to the nodes (topic for a future post). This time it is not only the Sun and Moon facing each other, but Venus and Mercury also join the Sun in Scorpio looking at Moon and Uranus in Taurus. These two gangs are supervised by Saturn in Aquarius, forming a 90-degree aspect to both groups, creating a triangle of tension.

This event shines light on the necessity of drastic change in our value system and our extremely materialistic approach to life. We need to create a more sustainable, nature-friendly way of living instead of the current toxic, money-driven life.

This obviously won’t happen on the 8th of November, but this is one important point in the process as this eclipse occurs at the end of a 2-year long struggle between the Uranian urge for renewal and the Saturnian resistance to change. This period was and is about controlled transformation of old hierarchical structures, letting go of old thinking patterns, values systems which hinder our future development. If feels like the end of an era: the most symbolic example of that is the passing of Queen Elizabeth II. The death of her iconic figure marks not only an end of a lifelong service, but it feels like we need to say goodbye also to what she represented.

In the past two years it has become increasingly difficult to tolerate rules and limitations: just think about the COVID restrictions and the wide scale of reactions to that. The trust and acceptance of old structures (governments, authority figures, regulations) are on an all-time low level while there is a rapidly increasing need to express our individuality and our right to (all kinds of) freedom. If we – personally and collectively – cannot find the subtle balance between convention and innovation, we will continue to see sudden and unexpected twists that force us to do something different, to free ourselves from old habits and values.

This eclipse will spark again the fire between the old and the new, the known and the unknown, the certain and the uncertain. It is likely that significant, collective developments can be observed during this time in matters where the outcome was uncertain so far. Now it will be decided in favor of one side or the other.

The next eclipse will happen in April 2023, so till then we get a bit of break!
